Naples Fl 2002

After having completed a flight check with Huffman Aviation at Venice I had access to their aircraft fleet. Lesley and I took a 152 on a day trip to Naples, Florida.

We had previously visited Naples but wanted to renew our acquaintance with the town.

Naples is what you would expect of a wealthy American retirement and holiday town, and although a bit unreal enjoyable.

We browsed through the shops on 5th Avenue and lunched at that fabulous deli "Winns on 5th", and of course took the obligatory "Trolley" ride.

One of the many bridges which cross the intercoastal waterway, property gets even more expensive on the islands.

Dinner with Ian and Fiona, they both originate from Prestwick and Ayr.

Our pet crane!

Lesley in relaxed mode.

Our enclosure! The cage was to keep the creepy crawlies out, not the humans in, though on second thoughts.

Enjoying the facilities. The owners apparently rarely used the pool.
