Trip to Kissimmee

Edgar, another of Anthea friends arrived to spend a few days with us, he is also a pilot.

He an I decided to take the 152 of to Kissimmee for the day and visit Tom Reilly's workshop and aircraft museum, we stopped by at Winter Haven on the way back to have a look at Jack Browns Seaplane School.

Tom Reilly's is an amazing  place for those who are interested in aviation, whiter all of the projects on the go will get finished remains to be seen, but to see what appear to be basket cases being returned to the air is a privilege.

The area arround Orlando is littered with large lakes, some natural but many as a result of long term phosphate extraction.

Every restoration workshop I have visited is the same cluttered mess.

The aircraft hanging from the ceiling is a Taylorcraft, which was the first aircraft which I owned. Underneath is a far more valuable machine a Boeing Stearman.
